Job summary

dfa in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a reliable production operator for a rotating 1st-3rd shift to support dairy processing operations. You will operate plant equipment, maintain fill weights, and complete all required documentation with strict accuracy.

Essential duties include sanitation, packaging equipment operation, sampling, and line coordination. Must have knowledge of state and federal dairy regulations and a valid CDPH Cannery Operator's License or obtain during training; Pasteurizers

Responsibilities

• Operate Plant Equipment in a safe and efficient manner including problem recognition
• Maintain proper operation of fill weights; adjust as necessary
• Complete all required documentation accurately and CCP documentation flawless
• Operate and clean package coding equipment; maintain ink
• Pull lab samples and keep accurate sample records
• Handle all packaging material in a safe and sanitary manner
• Complete material splices in a safe, efficient and sanitary way
• Change gaskets, perform valve maintenance and replace sterile air filters
• Clean conveyors inside and outside the filler; clean filler room
• Perform PM's and services on pumps, valves, tanks, homogenizers, VTIS equipment and fillers
• Maintain proper levels in hydrogen peroxide, caustic and acid
• Complete sanitation responsibilities and document per Master Sanitation Program
• Assist downstream packaging equipment operators
• Reset all Plant Codes and file Plant Code Change
• Be able to run shift in absence of supervisor; coordinate daily production
• Perform any other duty as designated by foreman
