Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a Yard Driver position in New Iberia, LA. The role involves safely moving and spotting trailers, performing equipment inspections, and coordinating with warehouse and transport teams.

This is a non-DOT yard operation with a 6pm-6am rotating night shift and a pay rate of $21.45 per hour plus a $1.25 shift premium. Minimum one year of verifiable driving or switching experience is required, with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year verifiable experience driving, switching or commercial tractor.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving and positioning trailers throughout the yard.
• Spotting trailers at designated dock doors.
• Conducting equipment inspections.
• Communicating with warehouse and transportation teams.
• Maintaining a safe and organized yard.
• Loads and unloads trucks as required.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
