Job summary

Bender CCP is seeking a Rotating Equipment Mechanic for the first shift in Portland, OR. You will disassemble, inspect, and repair pumps, blowers, fans, and other rotating machinery, using precision tools and drawings to return equipment to peak performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of industrial repair experience, strong knowledge of seals, fits and tolerances, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. On-site schedule is Mon-Fri 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial rotating equipment repair experience.
• Strong understanding of pumps, bearings, seals, fits, and clearances.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and read technical drawings.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose rotating equipment.
• Perform equipment repairs, rebuilds, and precision mechanical assembly.
• Replace bearings, mechanical seals, shafts, impellers, couplings, and other components.
• Measure fits, clearances, and tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Perform equipment alignment, testing, and quality inspections.
• Assist with machining and component repairs as needed.
• Support field service assignments at customer facilities when needed.
