Indovinya, the global specialty chemical and surfactants division of Indorama Ventures, seeks a rotating equipment maintenance professional for our Pasadena site. You will troubleshoot, install, align, repair and perform preventative maintenance on rotating equipment with limited supervision.
Responsibilities include working with Mechanical and Reliability Engineers to ensure reliable operation, analyzing health data, and supporting maintenance planning and continuous improvement programs.

This position is responsible for responsible for Rotating equipment maintenance, planning and execution as assigned. This will include troubleshooting, installation, aligning, repair, and preventative maintenance on rotating equipment at the Pasadena site. What will be expected from you? With limited supervision and moderate decision-making: The successful candidate will work with the Maintenance Mechanical Engineer and Reliability Engineer to help ensure reliable operation of rotating equipment for the Pasadena site. This position requires analyzing and reporting the health of rotating process equipment to proactively identify component, equipment and system issues and recommend corrective actions. Utilization of predictive maintenance programs to include vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasound and equipment condition monitoring technologies are critical to the success of this role Assist planning and execution of day-to‑day maintenance of rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, seals, bearings etc. Develop technical work scopes, parts list, and work plans as needed. Be an active member and contributor to the bad actor program. Actively seek continuous improvement efforts in rotating equipment and reliability programs by working with the mechanical engineer, outside vendors and team members. Predictive program and condition monitoring administration for the following but not limited to: Rotating equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, and motors Review and monitoring of rotating equipment condition including vibration data, lube oil results and utilize other critical operating process data such as pressures, temperatures, flows, loads & efficiencies to determine equipment health Vibration & Oil Analysis Database Management Assist developing maintenance plans for breakdown work orders related to rotating equipment Review past jobs to ensure the quality and reliability of equipment after maintenance activities completion Assist Reliability/Mechanical Engineer in creating equipment reliability strategies based on criticality, failure modes and best engineering practices Review spare parts inventory and recommend changes to stocking levels based on movement and lead time Provide support for turnaround organization and special projects as required, including planning and cost estimation Support root cause analysis program for major failures Be willing to work overtime as required Be willing to participate on the off hours on-call list for Maintenance Will be required to use appropriate PPE per site policy Comply with all company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices Provide analysis of vibration data for critical equipment, as well as assist in operations during start-up and shutdowns of equipment Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements). Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
HS Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 5 years of experience in the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of rotating equipment required Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and/or reliability in a petrochemical or refining facility required Associate Degree, Apprenticeship, or equivalent Military Training preferred Experience in the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the following equipment, but not limited to: Turbines, Gearboxes, Lubrication Systems, Compressors, Mechanical Seals. Experience in analysis and creation of preventative maintenance procedures and/or practices to ensure validity, efficiency and maximum unit uptime and asset availability strongly desired. Experience with predictive maintenance programs using Condition Monitoring to include: Thermal Scanning, Temperature Trending and Analysis, Vibration Analysis, etc.. Prior experience leading Risk Based Maintenance assessments on critical equipment a plus Experience with reliability-focuses statistical analysis is desired Experience in planning of rotating equipment jobs Specific Skills and Knowledge Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs Basic knowledge of alignment techniques and proper tool usage in the repair of precision equipment. Knowledge of risk-based work prioritization methodology Knowledge in Reliability Centered Maintenance Ability to work and troubleshoot equipment and repair to OEM specifications. Ability to read and update drawings, specifications, and P&IDs. Level 2 or 3 Vibration Technician Certification a (plus) not required
