Job summary

CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support our Reliability team. You will apply engineering principles to rotating machinery, perform root cause analyses, and drive reliability improvements for safe, compliant operation of refinery equipment on-site in Corpus Christi, TX.

Key duties include troubleshooting, planning maintenance, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with Inspection, Maintenance, Operations and Capital Projects teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of related experience; rotating equipment knowledge.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, PIP, ANSI standards.
• Knowledge of API standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to manage projects with limited supervision.
• MS Office proficiency; valid driver's license; TWIC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide rotating equipment reliability support to improve safety and availability.
• Plan, schedule, troubleshoot and repair rotating and reciprocating equipment.
• Use vibration, oil analysis and operation data to guide corrective actions.
• Develop programs to improve unit performance and reduce costs.
• Analyze spare parts requirements and support senior engineers.
• Travel may be required to other sites as needed.
