Job summary

Fuller Technologies - USA is seeking a Senior Pyroprocess Mechanical Engineer for rotary kilns and related pyro equipment in Allentown, PA. You will serve as a technical lead, developing and validating designs, performing calculations, and supporting retrofit projects from design to site commissioning.

This senior role requires hands-on experience with heavy industrial equipment, SolidWorks/AutoCAD proficiency, and strong customer-facing communication. Domestic travel ~30 days/yr is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Significant experience designing heavy industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience generating drawings and engineering calculations.
• Field exposure: installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting of industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical solutions for rotary kilns and pyro/process machinery—retrofits, rebuilds, upgrades, and modernization.
• Engineer aftermarket retrofits and equipment modifications that improve reliability and performance.
• Create, review, and approve detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Perform and peer-review mechanical calculations and complete design documentation packages.
• Collaborate across Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Manufacturing, and customers to shape robust proposals.
• Support site activities: installation, commissioning, inspections, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Champion standardization and continuous improvement across the product line.
• Travel as needed for site work—approximately 30 days per year.
