Menasha Corporation is seeking a Rotary Die Cut Operator Assistant for the 2nd shift in California. You will support the operator, monitor safety and quality, and ensure production of finished products while handling ink, solvents, and plates according to printing instructions.

Qualifications

• Safety policies and GMP guidelines knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and specifications.
• Capable of handling cleaning solvents, water, fountain solution and ink safely.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mounting plates and setup for rotary die cut operations.
• Monitor and inspect finished product quality; document inspections.
• Communicate issues to operator and maintenance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment and work area.
• Collaborate with peers across departments to improve quality and performance.

About The Opportunity

The Rotary Die Cut Operator Assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the Operator with keeping the equipment running finished product while checking quality.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures




• Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines




• Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, colors, special printing instructions and any special customer requirements




• Fill containers of cleaning solvents, water, fountain solution and ink as needed




• Assist with mounting plates




• Communicate with the operator when problems come up on the delivery end




• Assist with decisions regarding the quality of finished product




• Complete required quality inspections and paperwork




• Work with peers and other department to improve quality and performance




• Palletize stacks of finished product on ski




• Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessary




• Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area




• Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements




• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

This position may be required to work overtime.

The wage range for this position is $20.19-$27.31/hour (wage is based on experience)
