Mahler Private Staffing is seeking an exceptional career nanny to lead the care and development of a toddler in a private SoHo, New York City household. This long-term role offers a high level of responsibility and collaboration with involved parents and a household team.

You will shape a thoughtful daily rhythm, plan enriching experiences, maintain routines, and support practical life skills. Travel is required, and CPR/First Aid certification along with passport eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Rota scheduling experience.

A warm, hands-on private family is seeking an exceptional career Nanny to take a lead role in the care and development of their toddler. This is a rare long-term opportunity for a polished, kindhearted professional who combines sound judgment and initiative with genuine warmth, positive energy, and a collaborative spirit.

The Opportunity

You will help shape a thoughtful, engaging daily rhythm while partnering closely with involved parents and an established household team. You will plan enriching educational, cultural, and physical experiences; maintain consistent routines; support practical life skills; and ensure every detail of the child's world is handled with care.

• Location: Live-out in SoHo, New York City
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, typically 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., with flexibility during the on-duty week
• Team: Hands-on parents, a full-time Housekeeper, and a full-time Co-Nanny
• Travel: Domestic and international travel required
• Outlook: Long-term role with the opportunity to grow alongside the family

Who Will Thrive in This Role

You are a seasoned private-service Nanny-ideally with ROTA and lead-care experience-who is confident working independently yet naturally collaborative. You understand child development, anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and create consistency without requiring micromanagement. You are active, organized, discreet, adaptable, and genuinely excited to make learning and cultural enrichment part of everyday life. French-language skills are a plus. You pivot seamlessly between caring for the child to other household tasks that support smooth daily operations (organizing closets, sorting out toys, packing for a trip, preparing healthy meals, etc.)

Candidates must hold a valid passport. CPR/First Aid certification required. Must be a capable swimmer.

• Compensation of approximately $150,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience
