Leprino Foods Company - Forklift Operator

Leprino Foods Company, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team in Roswell, NM. We are the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and a major provider of premium dairy nutrition ingredients, serving clients worldwide including major food companies, restaurant chains, and distributors.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Inspect document numbers, shipping instructions, and product for damage.
2. Retrieve products from coolers, freezers, or the powder room.
3. Load and unload trucks, match trailer numbers with tractor numbers, and move products to designated locations.
4. Stage and load outgoing cheese, processing, and whey products.
5. Supply departments with packaging and supplies.
6. Place finished products in warehouse racks and perform general cleaning.
7. Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of manufacturing experience and forklift operation experience.
• Ability to operate a standup forklift preferred.
• Possess or able to obtain a Class "A" License.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Availability to work on Sundays through Saturdays, including off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in freezer environments at -10°F.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay ranges from $21.68 to $23.41 per hour, with a night shift premium of $1.25 per hour for hours between 6 PM and 6 AM. We offer comprehensive benefits including health care, retirement plans, paid time off, tuition assistance, bonuses, and profit sharing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Work may involve exposure to cold environments, wet/slippery surfaces, loud noise, and the need for physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and climbing.
