Job summary

Samson Rope Technologies is seeking Splicers to fabricate and splice rope assemblies for inventory and orders on the 2nd shift in Lafayette, Louisiana. You will follow safety and quality guidelines aligned with Samson strategy and core values.

This role requires teamwork, mechanical aptitude, clear communication, and a proactive approach to maintenance and process improvement. Overtime on weekends may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills, normally via high school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification is desired.
• Experience in a production environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform splices in single, seven core, flex core, and double braided products.
• Install chafe protection and complete post-operations as required.
• Follow safety procedures, keep a clean work area, and support 5S.
• Perform quality inspections while splicing and report issues to supervision.
• Participate in Lean and process improvement initiatives.
• Operate production machinery, forklifts/pallet jacks and hand tools.
