Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Rope Access UTSW Technician for a full-time role at our Texas City, TX location.

The technician will hold Level I–III rope access certifications (SPRAT or IRATA) or pursue them through company training, with strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and customer service. Responsibilities include leading field activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, performing JHAs and rescue protocols, and delivering quality field documentation while

Qualifications

• Maintains certification as a Level I, II, or III Rope Access Technician (SPRAT or IRATA). Or an interest in obtaining such certifications.
• High school graduate or GED. Relevant bachelor's and advanced degrees are an asset.
• Meets first-aid, CPR, and AED certification requirements at time of hire or within 60 days.
• Valid driver's license in residence state, unrestricted.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel and online communication platforms; basic tech troubleshooting.
• Proof of classroom hours / NDT Training.
• Previous Level II Certifications/OJT.

Responsibilities

• Represents MISTRAS professionally at all times and supports team excellence.
• Provides exemplary customer service and timely follow-through.
• Works in a team to complete field and administrative tasks including JHA, rescue protocols, reports, and field documentation.
• Maintains safety focus in all activities and ensures compliance with safety procedures.
• Conducts daily safety meetings and updates JHA as needed.
• Uses leadership and training to guide team performance in line with policy.
• Documents performance and maintains team morale.
• Keeps project leadership informed and proactively engages with management to resolve issues.
• Adheres to rope access standards and develops rescue knowledge.
• Follows company policies and completes training on schedule.
