Job summary

TEAM, Inc. seeks a qualified Rope Access Inspector to perform SPRAT/IRATA-based inspections at height and in confined spaces across refinery and petrochemical environments.

You will conduct NDT and API inspections with safety-first practices and document findings using digital reporting tools. Ideal candidates hold SPRAT/IRATA Level I/II, 1–3 years of field inspection experience, and the ability to travel regionally or nationally.

Qualifications

• SPRAT or IRATA certification (Level I/II) required.
• 1–3 years of inspection experience in refining/petrochemical/energy environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and inspection terminology.
• Physically capable of rope access duties (climbing, rigging, at height).
• Ability to travel regionally or nationally for projects.
• Pass pre-employment background checks and onboarding processes.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections at height using rope access per SPRAT/IRATA standards.
• Conduct NDT and/or API inspections on vessels, piping, tanks, or structures.
• Assist with installation of access systems, job rig-ups and hazard assessments.
• Document findings with digital tools and standardized reporting formats.
• Interface with engineers, planners and client representatives to clarify scope.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, codes and safety protocols (OSHA, site rules).
• Participate in toolbox talks, pre-job planning and safety audits as required.
• Maintain rope access and inspection gear in safe, working order and track certifications.
• Assist in equipment transfers, mobilizations and site setup/teardown.
