Job summary

Intertek in Houston is seeking a Rope Access Level III Technician to perform visual inspections via rope access under supervision or independently, bringing extensive field experience and serving as a supervisor for the Rope Access team within Intertek's Industry Services.

The role requires maintaining SPRAT/IRATA logs, preparing NDE reports, interfacing with clients on technical matters, providing on‑the‑job training, and staying current with NDE/Rope Access advances.

Qualifications

• Current SPRAT/IRATA Certification Level III required.
• Minimum of 3+ years field experience.
• ASNT Level II certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid TWIC card required.
• Able to pass physical exam.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors.
• Ability to solve technical issues in the field.
• Prior experience as a Rope Access Supervisor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines
• Prepare NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely manner
• Interface with clients on technical matters involving Rope Access and NDE procedures and capabilities
• Provide on the job training and guidance of assigned trainees
• Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors
• Organize and report test results and send information to office for data processing
• Follow technology advancements in the NDE/Rope Access industries
