Job summary

FXI is seeking a Root Cause & Corrective Action Engineer to drive cross-plant quality improvement. You will lead root cause investigations, deliver corrective actions, and apply structured problem solving such as Red X, 5-Why, and Is/Is Not analysis.

Based at a FXI manufacturing facility, this onsite role requires 50-70% travel to support multiple plants. You will collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality to reduce variation and sustain improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing quality, process engineering, or operations experience.
• Proven success leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations across manufacturing network.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions with rapid containment, root cause identification, implementation, validation, and sustainability.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving using Red X®, 3-Legged 5-Why, and Is / Is Not analyses.
• Identify and reduce process variation across facilities.
• Lead Read Across initiatives to standardize lessons learned and deploy best practices.
• Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality to resolve critical issues.
• Support customer quality management by leading investigations and communicating corrective actions.
• Coach plant teams in problem-solving methodologies and Lean principles.
