Job summary

FXI, a leading foam innovator, seeks a Root Cause & Corrective Action Engineer to drive quality improvement across its manufacturing network. You will assess issues and select effective problem-solving approaches, applying Lean principles to focus on true root causes and practical solutions.

The role requires 50–70% travel to support multiple plant locations. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, implement corrective actions, and coach plant teams in robust problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing quality, process engineering, or operations.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Travel 50-70% to support multiple plant locations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Root Cause Investigations across manufacturing, process, product and customer quality issues.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions with rapid containment and sustained solutions.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving using Red X, 3-Legged 5-Why, and Is/Is Not analyses.
• Identify and reduce process variation using Shainin Red X and related methods.
• Analyze trends and systemic issues across facilities to target improvements.
• Lead Read Across initiatives to standardize lessons learned and share best practices.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
• Support customer quality management by leading investigations and communicating actions.
• Coach plant teams in problem-solving, Lean principles and corrective action development.
