Job summary

44th & McDowell is seeking a Rooms Inspector to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and overall quality of guest rooms and public areas in our hotel. You will inspect rooms for cleanliness, proper amenities setup, and adherence to our standards.

Responsibilities include regular inspections, reporting maintenance issues, coordinating with maintenance and front desk, and assisting in training staff to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant certification or training in hospitality management is a plus.
• Proven housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and report findings accurately.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation guidelines, and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and stay physically active.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, order, and compliance with established standards.
• Identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and other concerns and report them to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
• Monitor housekeeping staff to ensure they follow procedures and maintain high cleanliness levels.
• Coordinate with maintenance and front desk to prioritize and address identified issues.
• Assist in training new housekeeping staff on cleanliness standards and protocols.
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records for reference and follow-up.
