Job summary

Maverick Hotels and Restaurants in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Rooms Manager for Sable at Navy Pier to supervise Guest Services and Housekeeping, ensuring safe operations and exceptional guest satisfaction while meeting financial goals.

You will work with Rooms department managers on planning and daily operations, lead a team including front desk, bell staff, and housekeepers, and maintain accurate cash handling and reservations to maximize guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have total understanding of all hotel front office procedures.
• Fluent in English; strong communication skills.
• Experience in hospitality or guest services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Guest Service Agents, Night Auditors, Bell staff, Front Desk Supervisor and Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist with development and training of hotel room staff on guest services and standards.
• Communicate with the General Manager and Front Office Manager on guest concerns and challenges.
• Handle reservations and actively upsell room nights and revenue.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and posting of charges at the front desk.
