Job summary

The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond offers Full-Time or Part-Time Room Service Attendant positions focused on delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guest rooms. The role also supports Afternoon Tea service as needed, within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Candidates should be flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable in guest-focused settings. A high school diploma is required, with prior food service or hospitality experience preferred to ensure polished, professional guest

Qualifications

• Must be available to work AM (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM) or PM (2:00 PM – 1:00 AM) shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous food service or hospitality experience required; in‑room dining or fine dining preferred.
• Polished appearance with strong guest service skills.
• Clear and professional communication with guests and team members.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and professionally.
• Set up trays and carts according to hotel presentation standards.
• Communicate guest orders and special requests accurately with the kitchen.
• Retrieve trays and carts in a timely and discreet manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of Room Service areas and pantries.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Support Afternoon Tea service in various roles as needed, including assisting with setup, service, and guest experience.
• Uphold service standards in all guest interactions.

The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a professional and service‑driven Full‑Time or Part‑Time Room Service Attendant to join our In‑Room Dining team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guest rooms while also supporting our traditional Afternoon Tea service as needed.
