Job summary

The Woodlands Resort is seeking a Room Service Associate to provide superior guest service by taking accurate room service orders and promoting menu items.

You will input orders into the POS system, confirm arrival times, assist guests with questions, and address any concerns with a positive attitude. This on-site role requires strong menu knowledge and effective communication, supported by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard to input Point of Sale procedures to pre-check, input order and close out the check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take room service calls and input orders into the POS accurately.
• Announce specials, promote menu items and answer questions on preparation methods.
• Provide prompt, accurate order delivery and confirm estimated arrival time.
• Handle guest compliments and complaints in a positive, solution-focused manner.
• Perform other related duties and help ensure guest satisfaction during shifts.

NoOverviewOffer superior customer service while accurately taking Room Service orders.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromptly answer room service calls, announce any specials, promote menu items and answer questions regarding preparation methods.Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time with speed and accuracy.Immediately input order information into point-of-sale system, allowing kitchen staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.
