Job summary

The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by HEI Hotels and Resorts in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking a part-time Room Service Operator to deliver prompt, accurate room service orders and guest interactions on-site.

You will take calls, upsell specials, document orders, input into the POS, and coordinate with kitchen and servers to ensure timely delivery. Strong communication and menu knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard to input Point of Sale procedures to pre-check, input order and close out the check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer room service calls, announce specials and promote menu items.
• Document orders, confirm items with guests and quote arrival times.
• Input orders into the POS system and provide kitchen with checks.
• Respond to guest complaints in a positive manner and resolve issues.
• Attend as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

No**Overview**Offer superior customer service while accurately taking Room Service orders.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Promptly answer room service calls, announce any specials, promote menu items and answer questions regarding preparation methods.* Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time with speed and accuracy.* Immediately input order information into point-of-sale system, allowing kitchen staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.
