Job summary

Opal Collection seeks a Room Service Operator to handle phone orders, assist guests with menu choices, and relay requests to the kitchen. You will log orders, ensure accuracy, and support teammates to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced resort setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required.
• Previous experience a plus.
• Must have courteous phone skills and the ability to take accurate messages.

Responsibilities

• Take room service orders over the phone.
• Answer questions on menu selections and check with kitchen staff.
• Place and log call back for room service order.
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Record transactions in Digital Dining system and complete closing reports.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Acknowledge guests and assist those with disabilities; thank guests sincerely.
• Speak clearly on the phone and maintain courteous etiquette.
• Develop positive relationships and support team goals.
• Adhere to quality standards; stand or move for long periods.
• Move objects up to 10 pounds; perform other duties as requested.
