Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a casual Dietary Aide to prepare and deliver patient and guest trays in the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Work is on an as-needed basis, typically 2–4 days per week with weekend availability required.

You will assist with tray assembly, food production, and patient interactions, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months food service experience preferred.
• Food Handler’s Certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of food production and delivery processes preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers patient and guest trays to patient rooms.
• Assists with the production and preparation of food items to ensure timely Room Service orders.
• Interacts with patients, families, hospital staff and Food Service team in a welcoming, professional manner.
