Job summary

Omni Las Colinas Hotel seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to keep guest rooms and public areas safe, functional, and visually appealing. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to repair requests, and coordinate with engineering staff to uphold Omni's high standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and the ability to lift up to 250 lbs. Prior hotel maintenance experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance preferred.
• Ability to push/pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of guestrooms per CARE/PRP program.
• Replace light bulbs, thermostats, and hardware.
• Maintain furniture, doors, plumbing, fixtures, and locks.
• Paint, grout, caulk, and tile replacement.
• Maintain carpeting, telephones, electrical devices, and drapes.
• Program telephones and electronic locks.
• Maintain guest room inventory.
• Follow Omni fire alarm procedures and safety rules.
• Maintain daily paperwork and logs.
• Assist other engineering staff as needed.

Overview

This role will ensure that our resort is well-maintained and reflects an image of outstanding quality.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance of guestrooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for CARE or PRP program.
• Replacing light bulbs, thermostats, and hardware.
• Maintenance of furniture, sliding glass doors, plumbing, fixtures, locks.
• Painting, grouting, caulking and tile replacement.
• Maintaining carpeting, telephones, electrical devices, and drapes.
• Programming telephones, electronic locks.
• Cleaning coils and installing algae tabs.
• Maintain guest room inventory.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
• Assist other Engineering staff as needed.
• Maintain daily paperwork and logs.
• Knowledge & use of the Lockout/Tagout, HAZCOM and Blood borne Pathogen Programs.
• Reasonable requests of management as directed.
• Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is desirable in hotel setting.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
• Must have a flexible availability, to include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
