Job summary

Terre Haute Casino Resort is seeking a Room Inspector to ensure guest suites and public areas meet our cleanliness standards. You may supervise housekeeping tasks, assign rooms, and evaluate performance to uphold our service level.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior housekeeping exposure, and strong attention to detail. This on-site role requires flexibility for weekends and evenings and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and take direction.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written or oral form.

Responsibilities

• Open housekeeping office daily, create room assignments.
• Train new hires to meet cleanliness expectations.
• Handle lost and found inquiries.
• Communicate effectively with Welcome Desk and Housekeeping staff.
• Oversee housekeeping staff, direct performance, and evaluate quality.
• Recommend counseling or disciplinary action as needed.
• Assist room attendants if short-handed.
• Promote outstanding customer relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary The Room Inspector examines hotel rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure they meet the level of cleanliness expected by the company. The Room Inspector may oversee housekeeping staff and make room assignments, direct housekeeping staff’s performance, and evaluate performance.

• Effectively communicate with Welcome Desk and Housekeeping staff members
• Oversee housekeeping staff, directing housekeeping staff’s performance, and evaluating performance through the inspection of cleaned rooms and public areas.
• Recommends counseling and potential disciplinary action for housekeeping personnel
• Assist room attendants if short-handed
• Promotes outstanding customer relations
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task and take direction.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate applicable licensing.
