Job summary

Courtyard Downtown Greenville is seeking a Room Inspector to ensure Guest Rooms are cleaned, maintained, and refreshed daily per brand standards. The role oversees House Persons and Room Attendants, prepares evening reports, and follows established cleaning procedures to uphold a high standard of cleanliness.

The PM Inspector will complete tasks the AM crew did not, update room status, operate housekeeping equipment, and participate in special projects under the Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the completion of all duties by House Persons and Room Attendants.
• PM Room Inspector should prepare the evening reports and finish any jobs the AM crew did not.
• Know and follow established cleaning procedures to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Properly use all cleaning supplies and fluids to product specifications.
• Update room status with either the Front Office Supervisor or the computer system at designated intervals.
• Understand and operate all housekeeping equipment to product specifications.
• Perform and complete any special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Know and actively practice the hotels' emergency procedures and loss prevention guidelines.
• Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
• Provide supervision and support to everyone in the department.
• Ensure that all reports are prepared completely and on time.
• Ensure that proper key controls are in effect.
• Ensure storage rooms are clean and neat.
• Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment.
• Periodically inventories supplies and equipment, completes linen inventory.
• Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.

Experience/Education
