The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest levelof cleanliness throughout the property, with primary focus on theguest rooms, and public areas on the guest floors. The Room Attendantwill also assist guests with any tasks relating to the functionalityof their guest rooms and related equipment. Other duties will beassigned as needed. Beauport Hospitality Group encourages and expectsall associates to develop the skills necessary to provide exceptionalservice both in and outside of their primary department. It isnecessary that associates have the ability to multi-task and deliveroutstanding service outside of their primary responsibilities listedon their job description.

This is a part-time position.

The schedule for the role is 8am-4pm, and Sunday is required.

Experience:

Must have at least one (1) or more years of cleaning experience,preferably in a Hospitality environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Report for morning meetings, daily task assignments, roomassignments and special projects.
• Collect daily paperwork and any information regarding guestrequests, to-do items, and an accurate list of check-ins and outsfor the day.
• Clean all guestrooms in accordance with the standards and policiesof the Beauport Hotel.
• Inform housekeeping supervisor upon completion of your duties, toensure and verify that the room is check-in ready.
• Maintain cart inventory, while organizing all items to ensure thecart is fully stocked for guest room service.
• Replace any directories, tv guides, stationary, and roominformation cards, etc. that are bent, torn or stained
• Inform housekeeping supervisor of any stains, missing items, orany cause for additional guest charges to the room
• Follow the lost & found procedure, communicating all personalguest items left in room immediately.
• Ensure all guest room floors and hallways are cleaned.
• Report room service trays to Room Service staff.
• Verify all items in the room are in good working condition,notifying the Supervisor of any Maintenance related issues.
• Adhere to all Bloodborne Pathogen procedures and Safetyprecautions in regards to handling hygienic items and guests’personal products
• Check laundry area to ensure adequate supplies of linens arewashed, folded and ready for use.
• Maintain storage closets, to be kept cleaned and organized at all times.
• Adhere to security procedures for the handling of guest room andmaster keys.
• Clean and organize the housekeeping area at the end of each shift,respectfully setting up the next shift for success.
• Complete other projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor.

• Ability to communicate effectively in the English Language. Asecond language is desirable.

• Salary range is $15-$16.50/hr

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Interior and exterior of hotel, primarily guest rooms, publicspace, and lobby area, with some exposure to sun, heat, cold andchanging weather conditions.
