Job summary

Yurbban Hospitality Group seeks a reliable Room Attendant for Lennox Hotel Miami Beach. Under supervision, you will maintain guest room cleanliness, comfort, and presentation, ensuring a welcoming guest experience through attention to detail and efficient service.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring safety and privacy protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or room attendant experience in a hotel preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Dust and clean furniture, surfaces, windows, and accessible areas, ensuring rooms are spotless and properly maintained.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as required.
• Replenish guest amenities, towels, toiletries, and other essential room supplies.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste following hotel recycling and waste management procedures.
• Inspect guest rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly.

We're Looking for a Room Attendant at Lennox Hotel Miami Beach!

Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms according to hotel standards. You will play an essential role in ensuring a welcoming and exceptional guest experience through attention to detail, efficient room preparation, and professional service.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare assigned guest rooms, including occupied rooms, check-outs, and special cleaning assignments, following hotel standards.
• Make beds, change sheets and pillowcases, and replace linens according to hotel procedures and guest preferences.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Dust and clean furniture, surfaces, windows, and accessible areas, ensuring rooms are spotless and properly maintained.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as required.
• Replenish guest amenities, towels, toiletries, and other essential room supplies.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste following hotel recycling and waste management procedures.
• Inspect guest rooms for maintenance issues, damaged furniture, malfunctioning equipment, or safety concerns and report them promptly.
• Ensure guest room equipment, lighting, air conditioning, and fixtures are functioning properly.
• Update room cleaning status accurately and communicate room readiness to the appropriate department.
• Respect guest privacy, personal belongings, and Do Not Disturb (DND) procedures, ensuring rooms are properly secured after cleaning.
• Follow Lost & Found procedures and immediately report any items left behind by guests.
• Prepare and organize housekeeping carts, cleaning equipment, and storage areas, ensuring supplies are properly stocked.
• Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) safely, following hotel sanitation and safety procedures.
• Participate in scheduled deep-cleaning and preventive room care programs.
• Assist with the cleaning of common areas and other housekeeping assignments when operationally required.
• Respond courteously to guest requests and communicate any special needs or concerns to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate with the Housekeeping Supervisor, Front Desk, and other departments to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Follow hotel safety, emergency, key control, and room access procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping or room attendant experience in a hotel preferred.
• Experience in luxury or boutique hospitality is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, established cleaning sequences, and hotel operating procedures.
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to complete assigned rooms efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Professional, reliable, and courteous attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Basic English communication skills preferred; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to remain focused and efficient in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, according to hotel occupancy.

Schedule:

This position requires full availability during mornings and afternoons. Eight-hour shifts may be scheduled between 6:00 am and 12:00 am, including weekends and holidays.

Work Location:

Lennox Hotel Miami Beach, Miami South Beach, FL.

Physical Demands:

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive movements throughout the shift. Employees must be able to push and maneuver housekeeping carts, lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing 15 pounds or more within established safety limits, and perform physically demanding cleaning tasks while following safe work practices.
