Job Description
First impressions are everything! As a Room Attendant with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will have the opportunity to create lasting memories for every Guest, ensuring Guest rooms are comfortable, inviting, and clean.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
2. Guide guests and answer questions as needed.
3. Maintain supplier cart well organized and presentable.
4. Clean all assigned guestrooms including dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen, retrieving clean linen, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, window cleaning, replenishing supplies, and possibly cleaning refrigerators, coffee makers, glasses, and silverware.
5. Participate in deep cleaning projects.
6. Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
7. Update and record all cleaned rooms.
8. Communicate changes, discrepancies, late check-outs, and do not disturb signs to the office team promptly.
9. Maintain all brand and luxury service standards, including compliance with Forbes/LQA and Fairmont standards.
10. Conduct self-audits and participate in feedback reviews.
11. Ensure a safe working environment and confidentiality of guest information.
12. Follow departmental policies, safety, and sanitation policies, including PPE use and chemical handling.
13. Report faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, hazards, and other issues immediately.
14. Organize and restock workstations, monitor supplies, and assist with public area cleaning as needed.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in luxury housekeeping preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping standards required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong guest service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read reports and complete training/certification for the role.
