Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant on a temporary substitute basis at our Jersey City property. You will clean guest rooms and public spaces, assist in the laundry area, and support the housekeeping team to meet brand standards and guest expectations.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer competitive pay and a strong benefits package as part of the Sonesta team.

Qualifications

• Some housekeeping experience preferred.
• Background in extended stay industry preferred.
• Fluent English preferred; other languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service per G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Address guest complaints and requests to achieve satisfaction.
• Clean and service rooms and public spaces per standards, including beds, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Notify supervisor when service is complete and report unsolved rooms.
• Operate laundry equipment and manage linens and supplies.
• Minimize waste and assist with deep cleaning as needed.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Handle lost and found items per procedures.
• Promote teamwork across shifts and departments.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
