The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is seeking a full-time Swing Shift Room Attendant (2-10) to join our team. The role focuses on cleaning guest rooms to the hotel’s standards and delivering exceptional housekeeping for our guests.

The duties include cleaning bathrooms, changing linens, dusting, replenishing supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. Hotel cleaning experience is preferred. The team enjoys competitive benefits including a 401k with employer contribution.

Qualifications

• Hotel cleaning work experience preferred.
• Able to clean up to 16 rooms in an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Able to change bed linens and make beds.
• Must follow chemical safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces.
• Vacuum room and empty trash.
• Strip and make beds, change linens.
• Make up rollaway beds and cribs in vacated rooms and inform others.
• Keep housekeeping storage closets neat and secure.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves.
• Replenish amenities and supplies in guest rooms.
• Report maintenance issues and any suspicious activities.
• Respond quickly to guest requests.

The Lakefront, Anchorage hotel (formerly the Millennium Hotel) is recruiting for full time swing shift (2-10)Room Attendant to join our team. At the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel we strive to deliver a memorable experience for our guests. Situated on the shores of scenic Lake Spenard, one mile from Anchorage International Airport and four miles from downtown Anchorage, the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the many wonders Alaska has to offer. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel boasts 248 rooms and three outstanding food and beverage outlets.

The role of the room attendant is to clean hotel rooms in accordance with established hotel policies and procedures. This position is responsible for providing exceptional quality housekeeping services to enhance our guest’s experience.

Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces, vacuum room and empty trash.

Strip and make beds, changing beds linens which may require lifting bedspread weighing a maximum of 40 lb.

Make up rollaway beds and cribs in a vacated room and notifies house attendants for them to be properly stored.

Assists in keeping housekeeping storage closets neat and secure.

Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves.

Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest room.

Report maintenance issues and report any suspicious individuals or activities.

• Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests.
• Practice chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance to signify completion for room.
• Be able to clean 16 rooms in an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees as well as guests.
• Hotel cleaning experience preferred.
