Will be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest and client interactions according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest complaints and requests, taking corrective action to ensure guest satisfaction.
3. Clean and service assigned rooms or areas following established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas and appliances as needed.
4. Notify supervisor when service is complete for room availability. Report any issues preventing service.
5. In laundry duties, monitor supplies and equipment, operate washers and dryers per standards, inspect linens, and report damages.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and amenities.
7. Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned.
8. Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
9. Handle lost and found items per procedures.
10. Promote teamwork and communication with other shifts and management.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in extended stay industry preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about; lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work with commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
