Job description

The Redondo Beach Hotel is looking for a dynamic, full-time Room Attendant to join the team! The room attendant is responsible for cleaning rooms, hallways, and other areas as assigned.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
  1. Adhere to Pacifica’s Pure Stay guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of our team members and guests.
  2. Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property-specific guidelines.
  3. Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  4. Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
  5. Clean guest rooms to Company standards including but not limited to making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, etc.
  6. Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.
  7. Follow Company policy for room amenities.
  8. Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager immediately.
  9. Maintain complete security of the master room key. Return the key at the end of the shift.
  10. Never leave the property with the key.
  11. Report any maintenance items that need immediate attention.
  12. Assist with laundry as needed.
  13. Report any missing/found articles or damage to the Executive Housekeeper.
  14. Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Physical Requirements: Frequently walking indoors and outdoors, climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, lifting, and carrying. Reaching above, at, and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 20 lbs. Exposure to cleaning agents.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: Basic cleaning skills. Ability to communicate in English with guests, management, and fellow team members to their understanding desirable. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Previous one (1) year experience preferred.
