Overview
Clean and supply all assigned guest rooms daily, with special attention to guest belongings. Stock each room with the necessary supplies to ensure every guest has a perfect stay.
Responsibilities
- Understand your job responsibilities and complete all required training.
- Know property standards (SSI) and room types.
- Attend pre-shift meetings, ask questions for clarification, and follow instructions.
- Be punctual: follow your schedule, adhere to attendance guidelines, and wear the proper uniform.
- Follow clock-in and clock-out procedures.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Follow personal appearance and uniform standards, practice good hygiene.
- Use approved language and scripting when interacting with guests.
- Follow proper procedures and scripting when entering guest rooms.
- Serve guests professionally and collaboratively, embodying the company’s service culture, "The Keys to Making it Right."
- Use your Room Attendant Board for instructions, special requests, and cleaning priorities.
- Complete cleaning tasks methodically and promptly, following PHR Steps of Service, ensuring attention to detail and efficiency.
- Ensure all guest rooms meet documented SSI standards before turnover and inspection.
- Maintain your tools and equipment: set up carts or caddies according to standards, use approved tools and checklists, and complete room assignment sheets for supervisor review at the end of your shift.
- Produce clean guest rooms that meet or exceed quality and efficiency standards.
- Keep your work area, cart, and closets organized and clean.
- Report deficiencies promptly to your supervisor or via work order management.
- Prioritize safety: report unsafe conditions, violations, and support a safe work environment.
- Support the team by cooperating with colleagues and supervisors and contributing constructively to a positive work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping or similar experience is desirable.
- Effective communication skills with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently and thoroughly.
- Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and the ability to work independently.
Physical stamina is essential to handle the demands of the job.
