The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel is currently recruiting a Room Attendant. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. The Room Attendant reports any maintenance deficiencies and handles guest requests or complaints, maintaining the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  2. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  3. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of busyness or time of day.
  4. Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  5. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  6. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
  7. Service assigned guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards.
  8. Update the status of rooms cleaned on the assignment sheet.
  9. Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.
  10. Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Coordinator.
  11. Use HotSOS codes via phone to report maintenance issues and other requests, including replenishing coffee machines.
  12. Turn over lost and found items from guest rooms to the Coordinator.
  13. Participate in quality control activities.
  14. Interact courteously and professionally with all guests, staff, and community members.
  15. Respond promptly and professionally to resolve guest and staff difficulties.
  16. Perform various duties, often switching tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
  17. Maintain grooming and attire standards daily at a high level.
  18. Model the company’s culture, vision, mission, and core values at all times.
  19. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role at a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
  2. Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role at a five-star luxury or ultra-luxury property or Michelin-starred restaurant.
  3. Strong command of both spoken and written English; fluency in additional languages is preferred.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Compensation

$29.15 - $38.87 per hour
