Job summary

Westin Annapolis is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain spotless guest rooms and the hotel environment on-site in Annapolis, MD. You will perform cleaning duties, change linens, dust and restock supplies while following procedures for guest safety and room appearance.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, teamwork, and reliable attendance in a fast-paced setting with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with hotel cleaning and housekeeping procedures.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers and be a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to suit different audiences (supervisors, coworkers, public).

Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floor surfaces.
• Strip beds and change bed linens up to 50 lbs.
• Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
• Push and pull vacuum, empty trash, restock amenities and supplies.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and signify completion.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
