Job Overview

Clean and prepare guest rooms to meet established standards of cleanliness and propriety, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenues.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning carts with supplies, and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of carts and storerooms.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, fixtures, and hard-to-reach areas using ladders or stools as needed.
• Wash shower walls, tubs, toilets, mirrors, sinks, and walls to ensure sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replace towels, soaps, amenities, and restock literature as needed.
• Wash and maintain all hard floor areas.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including vents and ceiling corners.
• Strip beds and remake with fresh linens, checking for cleanliness.
• Inspect and clean closets, restock supplies such as hangers, blankets, and pillows.
• Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways thoroughly, including under furniture.
• Inspect door and window locks, report unsafe situations immediately.
• Check room equipment for proper functioning and report deficiencies.
• Secure equipment, keys, and supplies to prevent loss or theft.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Education/Formal Training: No formal education or training required.
• Experience: None necessary.
• Knowledge/Skills: Basic knowledge of cleaning principles, products, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.

Physical Demands

• Must lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shifts.
• Ability to push, pull, and move furniture and equipment.
• Work with arms raised above head as needed.
• Navigate fully loaded carts through hallways and closets.
• Ability to identify debris in poorly lit areas and read instructions.
• Prolonged physical activity in climate-controlled environments, with some exposure to heat and humidity.
