Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as needed.

Room Attendant

Position Purpose

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guestrooms to ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience for every guest. This position maintains guest rooms according to established cleanliness and presentation standards and reports maintenance concerns when identified.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in creating clean and inviting spaces.

Essential Functions

• Clean assigned guestrooms according to hotel and applicable brand standards.
• Make beds and replace linens as required.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, and other surfaces.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and guestroom surfaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as needed.
• Remove trash, used linens, towels, and guest amenities.
• Replenish towels, linens, toiletries, and other guestroom supplies.
• Clean mirrors, windows, and other glass surfaces as assigned.
• Clean balconies or other guestroom areas when applicable.
• Stock and organize the Housekeeping cart with necessary supplies.
• Inspect guestrooms for cleanliness and presentation before completing each room.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, safety issues, or missing items to the appropriate supervisor.
• Update or communicate room status according to hotel procedures.
• Respond promptly and professionally to reasonable guest requests.
• Follow established guest privacy, security, Lost and Found, and room-entry procedures.
• Properly use and store cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
• Follow all cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Supportive Functions

• Assist with stripping guestrooms and transporting linens and trash.
• Assist with laundry, public areas, or other Housekeeping responsibilities when needed.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning projects.
• Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests.
• Assist other Housekeeping team members as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel Housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned rooms efficiently.
• Ability to learn and follow established cleaning and room standards.
• Ability to safely use cleaning products and Housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Dependable and able to consistently report to work as scheduled.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Hospitality Expectations

Our hotels operate seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Scheduling and responsibilities may vary based on occupancy and operational needs.
