Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality seeks a Hotel Housekeeping Room Attendant to prepare guestrooms to high standards, ensuring cleanliness and comfort for guests in alignment with brand specifications.

The role requires physical stamina and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A High School diploma or GED is required, and prior hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; GED within six months from start date.
• Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older.
• Six (6) months of experience as a room attendant in a hotel/resort preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for the entire shift; work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Projects a positive image and greets all guests.
• Cleans guestrooms up to 15 room credits per shift.
• Restocks guestroom amenities and linen.
• Disseminates information to guests about the property and promotions.
• Performs turndown service (2nd shift).
• Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly.
• Works safely and uses proper equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Hotel Housekeeping Room Attendant play a critical role in the overall guest experience by preparing guestrooms that are clean, comfortable, well maintained and serviced according to company specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Projects a positive image
• Greets all guests
• Cleans up to 15 room credits per shift
• Re-stocks guestroom amenities
• Segregates dirty or damaged linen and terry items
• Recovers lost-and-found items
• Disseminates information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc.
• Performs turndown service (2 nd shift)
• Performs routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner
• Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly
• Works safe by observing safety rules and wears proper equipment
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older
• Good verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered)- required
• Six (6) month’s experience as a room attendant in a hotel/resort- preferred
• Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) lbs
• Ability to work in areas containing dust or on high floor; occasionally kneels, climbs, and crawls to work in difficult positions
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test if administered
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
