Job summary

Middletown Hotel Management is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. You will clean and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, helping create a welcoming and comfortable environment for every guest.

This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and reliable teamwork to follow brand standards, keep carts stocked, and report damages.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Strong written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually; ability to assist in moving heavier loads with team support.
• Requires manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and to identify guest belongings left behind.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel and brand standards
• Maintain a clean and fully stocked housekeeping cart at all times
• Follow appropriate entry requirements for all guestrooms
• Use only hotel-approved cleaning agents and follow proper handling procedures
• Record room status on the assignment sheet and update codes by phone
• Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs in guest rooms to the supervisor
• Ensure all guest rooms are secured at all times
• Keep chute rooms and linen rooms clean, neat, and secured
• Follow the hotel's lost and found procedures
• Sign in and sign out all assigned keys daily
