Job summary

Westmont Hospitality Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Team Member to clean guest rooms, restock amenities, and complete housekeeping checklists to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will observe knocking procedures, secure rooms, report damages, and assist other housekeeping staff while maintaining a neat appearance and following all safety rules. This fast-paced role supports a welcoming hotel environment and great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Stocks cart with cleaning supplies, equipment and amenities for each room.
• Observes knocking procedures before entering guest rooms.
• Cleans assigned guest rooms and completes the housekeeping checklist.
• Reports clean rooms to supervisor for inspection.
• Reports damages or hazards in guest rooms to management.
• Secures guest room doors upon exiting.
• Keeps corridors and service areas neat.
• Turns in lost and found items and keys.
• Follows all company policies, safety and security procedures.
• Maintains neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per handbook.
• Assists other housekeeping personnel when needed.

Job description

• Stocks cart to ensure that enough cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available to properly clean each room.
• Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room.
• Cleans the guest rooms assigned. Ensures the amenities are stocked for each cleaned room. Completes entire housekeeping checklist.
• Reports clean rooms to supervisor for inspection.
• Reports any damages or hazards that are present in guest rooms, i.e., burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken lights, etc.
• Secures guest room doors upon exiting the room.
• Keeps the corridors and service area neat at all times.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
• Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
• All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance. (Specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
• Perform any related duties as requested by management.
• Assists other Housekeeping Personnel when need.
