Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain clean, welcoming guest rooms and spaces across our hotels. The role emphasizes attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will refresh rooms, assist with special assignments, and collaborate with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, with flexible availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, hotel, cleaning, janitorial, or guest service preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, hallways, and assigned areas per brand standards.
• Replace linens, towels, amenities, and guest supplies, keeping rooms refreshed and guest-ready.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness and operational readiness throughout shifts.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and workspaces.
• Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, safety concerns, and room status updates promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and housekeeping needs professionally.
• Follow sanitation, chemical handling, and safety policies at all times.
• Assist with deep cleaning, room inspections, VIP arrivals, and special assignments.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping leadership, Front Office, Laundry, and Engineering to ensure smooth operations.
• Support creating clean, welcoming spaces aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.

What you'll be doing

• Clean and service guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, hallways, and assigned hotel areas according to hotel brand standards and operational procedures.
• Replace linens, towels, amenities, and guest supplies while ensuring rooms are refreshed, organized, and guest-ready .
• Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, presentation, maintenance concerns, and operational readiness throughout shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage closets, linen areas, and operational workspaces.
• Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, safety concerns, and room status updates promptly and accurately.
• Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests and housekeeping service needs throughout the day.
• Follow sanitation standards, chemical handling procedures, hotel safety policies, and operational guidelines at all times .
• Support deep cleaning projects, room inspections, VIP arrivals, and special housekeeping assignments as needed.
• Partner closely with Housekeeping leadership, Front Office, Laundry, and Engineering teams to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Help create clean, welcoming, and comfortable spaces that deliver memorable guest experiences aligned with Sonesta's People People philosophy.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What great looks like

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, cleaning, janitorial, or guest service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong time management, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, chemical handling, and hotel safety practices preferred.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and service-focused mindset.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests, team members, and hotel leadership.
• Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, holidays, and operational support as needed.
• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, cleanliness, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Pay Range $21.60 - $22.60/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
