Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Miami is seeking a friendly Room Attendant to help deliver clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms. You’ll be part of a fast-paced housekeeping team, taking pride in neat presentations, attention to detail, and efficient service that enhances every guest stay.

In this role you’ll replace linens and amenities, refresh spaces, inspect rooms for cleanliness, and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, cleaning, janitorial, or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, hallways, and assigned hotel areas according to hotel brand standards and operational procedures.
• Replace linens, towels, amenities, and guest supplies while ensuring rooms are refreshed, organized, and guest-ready.
• Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, presentation, maintenance concerns, and operational readiness throughout shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage closets, linen areas, and operational workspaces.
• Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, safety concerns, and room status updates promptly and accurately.
• Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests and housekeeping service needs throughout the day.
• Follow sanitation standards, chemical handling procedures, hotel safety policies, and operational guidelines at all times.
• Support deep cleaning projects, room inspections, VIP arrivals, and special housekeeping assignments as needed.
• Partner closely with Housekeeping leadership, Front Office, Laundry, and Engineering teams to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Help create clean, welcoming, and comfortable spaces that deliver memorable guest experiences aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, chemical handling, and hotel safety practices preferred.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and service-focused mindset.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests, team members, and hotel leadership.
• Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, holidays, and operational support as needed.
