Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest room areas according to company procedures and standards.

Essential Job Functions

1. Stock housekeeping cart with necessary cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities.
2. Observe knocking procedures before entering guest rooms.
3. Clean assigned guest rooms, ensuring amenities are stocked and checklist is completed.
4. Mark cleaned rooms for supervisor inspection.
5. Report damages or hazards in guest rooms (e.g., broken furniture, burned-out bulbs).
6. Secure guest room doors upon exit.
7. Keep corridors and service areas tidy.
8. Return lost and found items and guest room keys.
9. Follow all company policies and procedures.
10. Adhere to safety and security rules, including fire prevention and emergency procedures.
11. Use protective equipment as required.
12. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property damage to management.
13. Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance as outlined in the employee handbook.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
15. Assist fellow housekeeping staff when needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to bend, reach, dust, and make beds and clean bathrooms.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness and left-behind belongings.
• Use written communication to record completed rooms.
• Perform cleaning duties quickly and efficiently.

Physical Demands

• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
