Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Room Attendant for Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel in Oak Grove, KY. You will ensure all guest rooms are cleaned and prepared for guest experiences, with responsibilities including cleaning, organizing, and stocking rooms as assigned, prior to guest entry.

The role requires attention to detail, professional conduct, and strong communication skills to interact with guests and fellow team members.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Able to obtain Kentucky gaming/racing license.

• Sort, count, and fold linens; stock carts with supplies.
• Replenish room and bathroom supplies.
• Assist in laundry to ensure clean linens.
• Dust furniture and clean surfaces; wash windows and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash.
• Report problems to Housekeeping Lead/Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; interact with guests.
• Promote outstanding customer relations and teamwork.

Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all hotel rooms are cleaned and prepared for our guests’ experience at the property. Rooms are assigned and it is the responsibility of the team member to ensure that all cleaning and organizing of the rooms are completed as assigned, prior to guests entering their hotel rooms.

ABOUT OAK GROVE RACING, GAMING & HOTEL

Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel is a new facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Thoroughly clean hotel rooms and bathrooms according to department procedures.
• Sort, count, fold and/or carry linens for making guest beds.
• Stock housekeeping carts with supplies.
• Replenish supplies in hotel room and bathroom per hotel procedures.
• Assist in the laundry room when needed to ensure clean linens are available to clean hotel rooms.
• Dust furniture, wash walls, ceiling and woodwork, wash windows and sills, door panels.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to waste disposal area.
• Report any problems immediately to Housekeeping Lead and/or Housekeeping Supervisor
• Ensure any lost and found items are turned in to be logged.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Interact with guests on occasion while cleaning guest room.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with internal departments.
• Understand and represent Oak Grove’s image and reputation both at work and at external functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task and take direction.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
