Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Hotel Night Auditor for the Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel property in Oak Grove, KY. You will register and assign rooms, issue keys, balance cash, and assist guests with reservations and inquiries to ensure smooth nightly operations.

This onsite role requires confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication to coordinate with housekeeping and front desk teams, including weekends and night shifts.

• Answer calls and route to appropriate extensions.
• Assist guests with hotel, dining, shopping, and entertainment inquiries.
• Coordinate with housekeeping for room status and cleanliness.
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and restock the Sundry shop.

Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Hotel Night Auditor accommodates hotel guests by registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts, presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests, making and confirming reservations, answering calls and connecting callers to the appropriate extension.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greetings, registers, and assigns rooms to hotel guests.
• Verifies guest identification using Veridocs and establishes how the guest will pay for the accommodation.
• Issues room keys and relays property-relevant information to guests
• Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts on the computer
• Computes bills and collects payments.
• Make and confirm reservations.
• Use an established system to make Marketing offer reservations.
• Answers calls and routes calls to the proper extension.
• Answers concerning inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment and any other activity connected with the hotel, gaming facility or entertainment complex.
• Advises housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning.
• Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
• Performs simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing cash accounts.
• Restocks, cleans and prepares the Hotel Sundry shop to always be guest ready
• Other duties as assigned.

• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
