Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, in accordance with standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests, taking corrective actions to ensure satisfaction.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas following established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas and appliances.
• Notify supervisors when rooms are ready for occupancy or report issues preventing service.
• Monitor laundry supplies and operate laundry equipment, inspecting linens and reporting damages.
• Minimize waste of supplies and participate in deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Handle lost and found items according to procedures.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other staff shifts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in the extended stay industry is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
