Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to maintain luxury guest rooms and public areas. You will clean rooms, replace linens, and ensure the highest standards of presentation and guest comfort.

Responsibilities include responding to guest requests, reporting maintenance needs, and collaborating with hotel teams to ensure seamless experiences. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, cleaning, hospitality, or guest room attendant experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel or upscale hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, operational procedures, and cleaning standards consistently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, and assigned hotel areas in accordance with luxury hospitality and brand cleanliness standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish towels, toiletries, and guest room amenities according to hotel procedures.
• Dust, vacuum, sanitize, mop, and maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, floors, windows, mirrors, and surfaces.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, functionality, and readiness for arriving guests.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, missing items, or damaged equipment promptly to leadership.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of housekeeping carts, storage rooms, linen closets, and operational work areas.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and housekeeping service needs.
• Follow established cleaning procedures, chemical handling guidelines, sanitation standards, and workplace safety procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and security of guest belongings and hotel property at all times.
• Support deep cleaning projects, VIP arrivals, special requests, and turndown service operations as assigned.
• Collaborate effectively with Housekeeping leadership, Engineering, Front Office, and operational teams to support seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain productivity standards and complete assigned room quotas within established timeframes while upholding quality expectations.
• Uphold luxury hospitality standards through professionalism, appearance, attention to detail, and guest service excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations
