The Westin Memphis Beale Street Hotel is hiring a Room Attendant in Memphis, TN. This full-time role requires cleaning guest rooms and corridors, making beds with fresh linens, replenishing supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Shifts are mornings or days, with responsibilities including waste disposal and securing guest areas. Minimum 1 year housekeeping experience and a High School Diploma or GED are required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, halls, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and other areas.
• Sorts, counts, folds, and replaces linens and supplies.
• Makes beds with fresh linens and replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports trash to disposal areas and maintains a clean, organized cart.
• Ensures guest areas are secured and rooms are completed efficiently.
• May be assigned to other areas of the operation as needed.

Summary of Position

Clean rooms and halls in hotel performing any combination of the following duties. Reports to The Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens.
• Cleans a minimum of 13 guest rooms per day.
• Makes beds using fresh laundered linens.
• Replenishes supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
• Moves furniture, hangs drapes, and rolls carpets.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Ensure that guest areas/rooms are secure.
• Completes all assigned rooms at an average rate of 37 minutes per room
• Ensures that 4 assigned guest rooms are completed in the first 2.5 hours of the shift and 6 rooms in the first 3.75 hours of the shift.
• May be given assignments in other areas of the operation.
• Checks out with department leadership prior to departing.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area/housekeeping cart.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 1 year working in housekeeping or janitorial cleaning job role.

Schedule

• Sunday through Saturday
