Job summary

The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel, Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Room Attendant for a temporary full-time role. You will clean rooms and suites, restock supplies, and respond to guest requests, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates are reliable, physically capable of lifting and moving items, and able to communicate effectively with guests and team members while maintaining exceptional hospitality service near the Pacific Ocean.

Qualifications

• Arrive to work on time as scheduled.
• Physically able to move carts, linen and related items.
• Physically able to operate cleaning equipment (vacuum, broom, bottles).
• Able to read and recognize room/suite numbers.
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Willing to learn and follow cleanliness standards for all areas.
• Able to follow safety procedures and act in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms/suites, including beds, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, windows.
• Report rooms as clean and available.
• Report maintenance deficiencies to keep rooms up to standard.
• Strip dirty linens and remove used amenities.
• Check maid cart for supplies and restock as needed.
• Greet guests with friendly acknowledgement.
• Replenish linen and guest amenities; clean balconies when applicable.
• Respond to guests' special requests and time considerations.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $25.00 Hourly

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows / tracks.
• Reports rooms as clean and available.
• Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards.
• Strip dirty linens / towels and remove used amenities from room/suite.
• Check maid cart for supplies, stock as needed.
• Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
• Replenish linen and guest amenities. Clean balconies, if applicable.
• Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests).

WHAT YOU BRING

• Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
• Physically able to move large objects such as: carts, large bags of linen, ironing board.
• Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as: vacuum cleaners, brooms, spray bottles
• Ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
• Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of suite.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
