Job summary

Kolter Hospitality Group seeks a full-time Room Attendant at Hyatt Centric Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale. The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and providing comfort for guests in a welcoming environment. Key duties include cleaning rooms, changing linens, and responding to guest requests.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and previous housekeeping experience is preferred. Must be able to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Overview

A Kolter Hospitality Room Attendant delivers service excellence by creating a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment.

Performance Expectations

• Clean rooms as assigned.
• Change linens and make the beds.
• Thoroughly clean bathrooms.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, mop, and pick up trash.
• Replenish guest amenities/toiletries.
• Load and organize cart, store properly at the end of each shift.
• Receive keys and assigned rooms return at the end of each shift.
• Respond to guest requests and report guest issues.
• Follow proper lost and found procedures for items left behind in a guest room.
• Report any items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED is preferred.
• Experience: Prior Housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Hours Required: Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Hours may vary based on occupancy levels and hotel needs.

Other Requirements

• Ability to clearly understand and communicate with guests.
• Must be able to complete a minimum of 16 room credits.
• Ability to push, pull, lift minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/maneuver cart of up to 250 lbs.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stretch.
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time.
• Free motion of arms, above waist.
